Dr. James Chanez, MDVIP
Dr. James Chanez has partnered with MDVIP since 2018 to better serve his patients with attentive and personalized healthcare. With over 20 years of practicing in the community, his goal as your personal Internal Medicine doctor, is to manage and anticipate your unique healthcare needs. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, he will partner with you on a personal level to help you achieve the optimal health we all value. He will closely collaborate on what it takes to stay on the path to wellness. A proactive approach and prevention of health issues will be provided with advanced testing and unique, comprehensive exams not covered by regular insurance.
Dr. Chanez has been published in D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas since 2012 and featured on the national Castle Connolly Top Doctors Honors for multiple years. He was the Vice Chairman of Genesis IPA (served 12 years on the Genesis Board). He is on the Health and Wellness Advisory Council for the national Dairy Max Company (since 2015). Dr. Chanez is the Founder and Past President of the North Texas Latin American Physicians Association (NTLAPA) and the NTLAPA Charitable Foundation (NCF) which are local nonprofit organizations of physicians and professional healthcare leaders working together to improve the quality of healthcare for the communities in North Texas through scholarship and community support. In addition, Dr. Chanez was a past Dallas County Medical Society Board Member (DCMS) in 2017 and 2018.
Dr. Sarosh Ahmed
Dr. Sarosh Ahmed is a board certified internal medicine doctor that focuses on applying scientific knowledge and clinical expertise for disease recognition, treatment and prevention. She strongly believes in personalized compassionate care and being thorough in work. She evaluates her patients thoroughly to recognize, diagnosis, and provide treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. Dr. Ahmed grew up in Pakistan and graduated from Dow University of Health Sciences. She immigrated to US with her family to pursue medicine further. In 2009, she completed her internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
She enjoys nature, cooking and most importantly spending time with her children.
Dr. Stephen R. Bindner
Dr. Stephen Bindner is Board Certified in Family and Sports Medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa in Iowa City and completed his residency and sports medicine training at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Originally from San Antonio, he decided to return to Texas in 2001, choosing the DFW metroplex with all it has to offer, where he joined a small practice in Bedford. Over the next 20 years he remained with the same practice as it joined the Medical Clinics of North Texas, later merging with USMD Health System and Optum Care. During this time he served on the MCNT's Board of Directors including as Chair of Clinical Practice Committee. With Optum Care he served as one of Medical Directors of Primary Care. "With my training and experience, I have learned the importance of practicing evidence based medicine to provide the optimal care, with the best providers at the right time."
While he learned valuable lessons from his leadership experiences, he was seeing fewer patients, and decided it was time to go back to his roots. “Being a primary care physician is closest to my heart, so I decided to return to seeing patients full time. I have lived in North Dallas for over 15 years and welcome the opportunity to practice with Medtopia Medical Clinic in the community where I live.” Dr. Bindner will serve as a primary care physician, and provide specialty care in sports medicine, with a focus on outpatient management of common orthopedic conditions.
